Four Months & Aunt Pam

So yes, we are four months old! Maddie is getting so big and becoming such a little person! She loves to eat her hands and has begun to drool something wicked - teeth are in our future?! She is also talking up a storm. She doesn't really coo as much as just babbles all the time. She has a squeal that I swear could shatter glass and a smile that brings tears to my eyes. She is such a good and happy baby I can't believe how bis she is getting. She likes to try and "sit" on her own but can only make it a short period of time before falling over. But, she is so proud of herself once she does it.

Every summer - ish we try and a little golf tourney back home. Pam, our swim coach and myself play against the boys. This year the boys happened to be Rick and Dad. My golf game has been the serious back seat since, oh, I had a baby. I think the last time I really played was last fall but I think I spent more time heaving in the bushes than actually hitting the ball. Anyways, Pam and I won, of course! It also happened to be my Dad's birthday too, so it was quite the celebration. Aunt Pam as we will now call her also gave Maddie a little present. I had tried to take pictures of her in the little outfit and post it while I was home but she decided to poop and spit up on it beforehand so those pictures were not happening. These were taken while we were in Myrtle Beach.

16 Weeks!

This is our in between week. We are going from one vacation to the next. We loved our trip up to Boston and had tons of fun! Next week we are headed down to Myrtle Beach for two weeks in the sun. This week we also "celebrated" our anniversary. I can't believe it has been four years already. This time last year was when we found out we were pregnant, now we have a four month old!! Oh, and by celebrated I mean that we went over to April and Brad's house and drooled over their adorable little baby girl. Miss April had the audacity to go two weeks early and have Emery while I was away! Check out their blog for a little baby fix - she is precious.

scandalous sleeper yet again....

...wait, do you think these pants are too tight? whoa baby!!

Happy Anniversary!

Happy anniversary to my amazing husband. It has been four wonderful years. That's right, four. Donny told everyone at work that this was our five year anniversary. Oops! I would insert a cheesy picture from when we got married, but I couldn't find one right quick. Either way, happy anniversary Donny! I love you.

**Post edit - I found some pix. Enjoy!

Boston Part 2

We continued to have a great time in Boston. The weather also continued to be super hot. We went with Gramma and Donny to the pool and lounged around...literally. Donny finally got up the second week that we were there and got to enjoy the heat as well as some golf.

Donny calls this the "super lounge mode"

We got to eat at Cheesecake Factory while we were up there :) :) which Donny and I both love. Maddie was getting tired of all the time in the car seat (can't blame her) so we put her up on the table to see everyone. We were not too amusing apparently which is why we gave her the spoon to enjoy as a new toy - she loved it.

When we were at the club one time we spotted this sweet car parked behind me. Upon closer inspection we realized that it was a Maserati, a car that costs oh a mere $150,000 or so. I wanted to hold Maddie over it and take a picture but Gramma was afraid there was some kind of "force field" alarm that would go off so we opted not too. Also, to make you feel better, in the back seat were two little kiddie booster seats. Sweet.

Maddie got some new hair bows and a new hat while we were home from my mom's neighbor. They just happened to match her pajamas which was super cute.

While we experiencing the super hot heat wave we decided to have some naked baby time:

new clothes that are too small...

I found this super cute ruffled sear-sucker outfit before we came up. I bought it, 3-6 months, I don't think we will be wearing this one again...

Week 14 - Our Trip to Boston Pt. 1

Our trip up in here in Boston has been great so far. Maddie was a super champ on the drive up. Since it was just the two of us we got going at 4 in the morning. Maddie slept until 8:30 or so, waking a couple times, so we stopped to eat at 9. We then drove and stopped again at 1 to eat. We finished our drive and went right to Gramma's work to have another meal at 4:30ish. So it took us just about 12.5 hours! The only traffic we hit was when we got on the Mass Pike, go figure. The drive was great and Maddie hardly even fussed for very long, she just mostly slept and slept through the night that same night too. Here are some fun things we have been up to up here.

We thought we maybe "escaped" the heat of the south. We found this to not be true and have a major, major heat wave up here, way up into the 90's people. So we loaded up the sunblock and experienced a true baby pool over at the club. Maddie loved the cool water although it was so bright with the sun and the reflections that I don't think she really got to open her eyes while we were swimming.

We are getting to spend some major quality time with the family. Uncle Rick takes his role pretty seriously and plays with her when he is not working. They do tummy time a lot. According to Rick he is going to have her walking and potty trained by the time we leave!

Just about every morning Maddie has her morning bottle with Grandpa. She is really good about not fussing and gives out some major burps. Grandpa is always impressed!

We of course brought up our toys, how else would we get some rest?! Gramma calls it "baby sprawl" as it looks like we are taking over the house - I warned you!

One of the many great things about coming up is we don't have to pack a pack'n'play or anything. Gramma has our old crib set up with new baby yellow stuff. Handmade bumpers, blankets, crib skirt, you name it, it's in there! Well Maddie absolutely loves sleeping in there. She has her own little dresser and changing table - what more could a little girl need to travel?

We toyed with what to do about the whole bath thing...should we bring the tub, etc. I decided not to because, well, we didn't have overwhelming space between clothes, stroller, two sets of golf clubs, you get the idea? The first couple times we took a bath in the sink. It was fine but a little tight. We have since upgraded to just laying in the bath tub with water on a towel and we love it! She is also into being bundled up after finishing in the tub, which is funny since as a baby(!) she really didn't like to be.
...More pictures to come...
