Week 13 and a trip to the lake
Maddie officially took her first trip to the lake this past weekend. It was a perfect day, nice and warm, which also meant it was great for swimming! Yes, Maddie went in the water in her new bathing suit for the first time. She was perfectly content just sitting there with me since the water was like bath water. The hot weather meant some good naps would definitely be in store. We were also joined down at the lake by Tammy & Ryan and their boys - Evan of course, Maddie's bestest man. The two of them got to do some quality sleeping while Donny took the rest of the crew out on the boat. Maddie loved being down by the water, and the dogs loved wading out into it too.

Father's Day!
Dear Daddy,
Thank you for being an amazing father. Thank you for feeding me in the middle of the night when I am hungry. Thank you for changing my poopy diapers when I need it. Thank you for letting me wear my pretty flowers and bows even when sometimes you don't like them. Thank you for working so hard to buy me pretty pink dresses and shoes. Thank you for all your hugs and kisses to make me feel loved. Happy Father's Day Daddy.
I love you!
Love,
Love,
Maddie

Building the Brown patio
Our good friends Tammy and Ryan (parents of Maddie's boyfriend Evan) decided to put in a patio - so obviously we were over there to help. Here are some pictures of the work that was done on Saturday in the 95 degree heat.
Donny surveying the lands.
The boys doing something important.Noah staying occupied playing at his "sand" and water table with his truck.
Ryan playing in his "truck."
By night we had the area cleared and the first layer of aggregate down and compacted. Is that Tammy trying to get in on the action??

Evan sleeping through all the work, Maddie working her way to laying on top of him.
Here they are holding hands. Maddie also proceeded to eat Evan's hand too.

Visitors and Lunch Dates...Week 11
Maddie is so lucky, this year the World Cup is being played just in time for her to see (can you sense my enthusiams). Nothing like watching and DVRing four hundred soccer games to watch and rewatch for the months of June and July. Maddie got to watch the US really luck out a tie versus England. It really wore her out....
Donny went and played golf with good ol' friend Michael. Afterwards they decided to come back by the house so he could could meet Maddie. Maddie being the typical ham she is cozied right up next to him on the couch. Who has the "beer gut" in this picture. Imagine Donny chanting "muscle tee, muscle tee" in the background, 'cause he was.

Wanna see my trick Michael, I can eat my hand, what can you do?
Donny usually comes home about everyday for lunch. Since everyone happened to be in pink and looking cute we decided to take some quick pictures before Donny headed back. What? You have to go back already??

Cupcake Onesies....Week 10
The reason behind the title of this post is simple - Maddie received a gift in a cake box of little cupcakes. They were so adorable. Donny was all excited about them (he got them from someone at work and their family) he couldn't wait to eat them. Until, he looked closer and realized that they were not in fact cupcakes but little onesies rolled up too look like cupcakes. The idea is the cutest thing ever, and not that anyone really reads this, but if I give you a baby gift some day, you know where I got the idea and I am no creative genius. So anyways, the onesies are so cute I snapped a couple pictures of her in them. We try to get big smiles when we take pictures now, sometimes we are successful sometimes she decides to make her own faces.
How cute is this gift idea? Thank you Richardson Family!
This has nothing to do with the cupcakes or anything but is a pretty cute smile in her bunny outfit. Still one of her faves since she can eat the bunny ears.

Maddie, smile, no? Okay.
Donny calls these onesies her "muscle tees" so I figured this picture was appropriate. Which way is the beach? Oh, that way?
This is what we call crazy hair....

Flower Power
I have recently purchased some crocheted headbands with some amazingly big flowers to put on Miss Maddie. I happen to think that they are so adorable and guess who else does too? Maddie of course, but Donny does too! We have found that they cannot be worn while she is in her car seat because they sometimes get pulled down over her face. Here are some pictures of Maddie showing them off. Not be biased but these pictures are so adorable!!
