Easter Weekend Part III

What a whirlwind of a morning! Right when Maddie stirred this morning we snagged the video camera and went in and got her. She was, as usual, bouncing around in her crib excited to see us. We got her down and let her follow her Easter eggs. The video could have gone for hours because she wanted to stand, walk and study every.single.egg. When she got to her basket she was super excited to see the couple little goodies the Easter bunny had left her. We rushed through breakfast and then she took a quick shower. While Donny and were getting ready we let her play with her new things . . . as to not ruin our Easter dress prematurely!

We went to church with the whole family downtown. It was so fun to go back to the church where Maddie was christened and to see Pastor George too. We love going to church there but it also really made Donny and I realize how much we love going to “our” church too. We found ourselves almost clapping and missing all of the music! After the service we took some pictures and headed over to brunch!

After brunch, we were all stuffed and exhausted. Maddie was so good, she had been up from 7:15 and went down for her nap at 2. Once she got up I tried to do a couple Easter portraits.

Ahhh the rain cleared and the clouds went away. Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day! Which was perfect because we had tons of family in town and we were going to do our little cousin (I guess our second cousin?) Caroline’s birthday at the park. It was so great to see everyone – they have all gotten so big! *The kids not the adults * We also got to meet our newest little (second?) cousin Miss Cheyenne who is adorable. We had tons of fun playing on the playground and just kicking the ball around – oh yes, and of course the cake – yum!

Oh but wait, there is more! Yes! We all rested and then went to dinner that night for pizza, yum. Then we invited everyone over to our house for dessert and Easter eggs. I personally had such a great time with Miss Carrington and Miss Emerson, they are so sweet! Caroline and Matthew had to head out because of bedtimes – Maddie stayed up way past hers! We were on the deck doing eggs while the girls took turns riding in the cozy coupe with some crazy driver named Dr. Pop! Oh my goodness did we have fun!

Sweet little Emerson was loving up on Maddie all night hugging her and even making her an egg or two. Look at these two cuties!

And now sleep, tomorrow is going to be just as busy!

Adult League Soccer

First game of the season! Maddie and I hardly went in the fall because it was at 8 and well, Maddie goes to bed at 8. I was so excited to be able to go and spend some quality time with April too, but her hubs Brad had to go and get himself hurt and now he can’t play. So now its just Maddie and I, literally, no spouses or kids, no one. We managed to stay busy for the first half, then we bailed! We were winning when we left and we ended up winning, so nothing missed!
