This Sunday we decided that since us girls would dress our girlies in some cute smocked dresses and take some pictures since we wouldn’t all be together for Easter. Well you try and take three girls and three baby girls and get a picture . . . and you get . . .

I also tried to take a couple pictures of Maddie up top at the church outside too, here’s what she gave me:

Donny has really been training to race in the downtown crit this weekend and was so excited to race on his new bike! Unfortunately it was also the weekend we got the major monsoon and tons of stuff flooded. So, Donny didn’t want to race his new bike, understandably. We rushed downtown after Maddie’s nap to see him finish but the race had been cut short – due to road issues – and we missed him. But, I did manage to get some good pictures of the two cuties. **You can read about the race on DONNY’s BLOG, yes you read that right, he has a blog!!**

. . . that Maddie is officially walking against my will because I want her to be a baby forever. She has really been “walking” since before her birthday, taking a few steps and then falling, but now she is just really cruising, and, is comfortable with it! She still pulls up on furniture or toys to get going, but she is off! So much for staying little

Have I mentioned how much I love this blue dress? And, how blue it makes her eyes look! I love it.
And that my friends, is an understatement. Our “small group” from church figured we should all get together and go out to eat sometime. So where oh where to go? A place that could hold a large group of people and kids where the food would be oh so good? The Homeplace was the best decision ever! The weather was great outside which was perfect for all the picture taking that took place after we all stuffed ourselves silly. On another note, aside from eating, we are so lucky that four months ago we were introduced to the church we now attend by some special friends of ours – you know who you are

Ok, I’m full.
Finally some warm weather! Maddie and I took advantage of the warmth and headed back down to the park. I decided we would try round two with the swings and see what she thought. Well, she loved it! And, puppy got to swing some too which she really loved, she even tried the slide, which is hard to do in shoes, noted for next time.

When we were trying to decide what kind of toys to get Maddie for her birthday we decided to do “outside” toys. Toys are just getting bigger and bigger and our house isn’t, and, the weather is warming up so we want to be outside anyways. I was so excited to get Maddie her first “car” for her birthday. Donny and I both remember playing with these when we were younger. Although I will tell you, I was unaware that it came in four thousand pieces and had an instructional DVD to put it together, but other than that we love it. Maddie really does love her cozy coupe! 
For the record, Maddie can drive backwards but not so much forward yet – so – I love the fact that it comes with a floorboard so I can just push Maddie in it.
