The home that we have officially own for five years now is on the market! We are reaching the point if we haven't already where we are outgrowing our home. It’s a three bedroom one bath cape cod that is in the cutest neighborhood with the nicest neighbors and a low/no traffic circle. I love, love, love our home but we have done all we need to do and we need to move into a house where we can expand and stay for 10+ years. Its been fun to go back and see what the house was when we first bought it (aka just married and had nothing) to now where we have finished rooms that we sweat over doing and are overflowing with stuff. Here is our transformation!
Front
New: paint and shutters, landscaping, railings on landing and new windows.
Living Room/Family Room:
New: refinished hardwoods throughout first floor, new paint and windows
Kitchen :
New: everything! Hardwood floors, all cabinets new, all appliances new, new granite countertops, new lighting, you name it, its new!
Bedroom:
New: paint, windows and ceiling fan.
Upstairs:
New: paint and ceiling fan
I guess we never took a picture of what is now Maddie’s room. Before it was our office – but we had nothing in the room other than a prop up table with a computer so apparently it didn’t warrant a picture. Here is Maddie’s room now, for a before just picture white walls with nothing in it.
And of course our deck, another labor of love. It’s 16x24 which is just a little bit smaller than the footprint of our house, haha!
So here is the link to our listing, not that I am trying to plug my house or anything!
The Smith Family Home
I couldn’t find pictures of the deck building real quick but I did find our kitchen gut project. There are some quality of photos of Donny in here. And, of course there is no Maddie because I was six months preggers when we did this project. Just try and picture me as a enormous blow up whale trying to chisel five layers of linoleum off our kitchen floor on the weekend we got those 24+ inches of snow. Yeah.
Get it Donny!!
Yeah, Donny wore the “protective” mask while I just inhaled everything…?
Stainless front refrigerator.
Ahh gas stove, hello love.
And some new track lighting.
And that was how we spent our winter before Maddie was born.
